Most of the shopping and entertainment centre ‘Veles’ has already been leased. The main driver of tenants’ interest is that the centre will be the first and only project of regional significance in Ivano-Frankivsk.
SEC ‘Veles’ is the first regional shopping and entertainment centre in Ivano-Frankivsk, the opening of its second phase is scheduled for the Q4 2021 with the total area of 56,000 sq. m GBA and 39,700 sq. m GLA.
Cushman & Wakefield, that has been appointed as the exclusive leasing agent for SEC ‘Veles’, announces the signing of new preliminary lease agreements with the household appliances and electronics chain ‘Comfy’ (1,070 sq. m), the perfumery and cosmetics chain ‘Brocard’ (350 sq. m), ‘Good Day Pharmacy’ (57 sq. m), and a pet store ‘Breeder’ (55 sq. m).
“Basically, we already have confirmation from tenants for more than 62% of the mall’s total leased area,” said Kateryna Vesna, Head of retail agency and consultancy in Cushman & Wakefield Ukraine. - The main driver of tenants’ interest is that the centre will be the first and only project of regional significance in Ivano-Frankivsk. We expect guests from not only the city and suburbs but also from all over the region. Now they satisfy their fashion needs mainly in Lviv. Modern conceptual and architectural solutions also add value to the project”.
Earlier it was reported that agreements were signed with the following tenants: supermarket ‘Silpo’ (4,200 sq. m), children's entertainment centre ‘FLY Kids’ (3,500 sq. m), cinema ‘Planeta Kino’ (2,268 sq. m), household appliances and electronics chain ‘Eldorado’ (1,021 sq. m), a jewellery chain ‘Golden Age’, mobile operators Kyivstar and Vodafone, and dry cleaning ‘Chysto’.
It should also be noted that that in the operating part of SEC ‘Veles’ there are stores of the following brands: ‘LC WAIKIKI’ (1,777 sq. m), ‘Megasport’, ‘CCC’, ‘Chudo Ostrov’, ‘Anabel Arto’, ‘A. Tan’, ‘Esotique’, ‘Nikola’, which will continue to work after opening a new phase. Some of these tenants will work in updated formats in an expanded shopping and entertainment centre.
Yuri Kizim, project manager, said that construction works are proceeding according to the schedule. “The in-situ concreting on the building frame has been completed and the installation of the roof of the shopping centre is actively promoted. In accordance with the current fire safety standards to enable safe evacuation the construction of staircases has begun. In addition, working projects of internal engineering systems are being prepared,” said Yuri Kizim.
