For the second consecutive year, the expert jury of the EE Real Estate Awards has named Cushman & Wakefield as the best brokerage company in Ukraine.
The awards ceremony took place at the annual Eastern Europe Real Estate Forum, where achievements in real estate for 2017 were marked and the best projects and advisors of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova were awarded. The Forum was organized by the professional organisers Ukraine Real Estate Club & EuropaProperty.com.
The carefully selected independent jury comprised from a range of professionals from across Europe appraised the nominees by the number, volume and significance of lease and sale transactions completed in different segments of the commercial real estate market (office, retail, warehousing and land). The methodological partner of the EE Real Estate Awards is Ernst & Young.
One of the most discussed deals, which was executed by Cushman & Wakefield in Ukraine, was the sale by Ghelamco Group of a logistics complex with an area of more than 30,000 square meters to the national food retailer "ATB".
The certificate "The Best Brokerage Company 2017" was officially awarded to Nick Cotton, Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield in Ukraine, who noted:
"Despite the fact that the award reflects our outstanding success in agency work, this success is very much thanks to the efforts of the entire Cushman & Wakefield team - both consultants and agents as well as to our colleagues throughout the European and wider global company network. This year, as we have transitioned from DTZ to Cushman & Wakefield in Ukraine we have focussed very much upon the composition of the Ukrainian brokerage team which has been significantly strengthened. We still have big plans, we are not going to rest on our laurels.
Another key winner in the awards was the Lviv business center "Optima Plaza" which won two awards for "Innovative green building 2017" and "Office project of the year". This was particularly rewarding for Cushman & Wakefield who advised the developer in relation to the initial development concept, supporting the architectural designs, and also in securing the first pre-lease in the building to company Intellias with an initial space requirement of 3,169 sq. m. Two months ago BC "Optima Plaza" received official BREEAM certification with a "Very Good" rating. This was the first fully BREAM accredited office building in Ukraine.”
